Why Can't Fallen Angels Repent? Here's What I Found After the Camera Stopped

An exorcist explained the fall of the angels step by step. My big question was: how do you know all that? So I checked what's in the Bible and what isn't.

Did Angels Really Choose Hell? | My Reaction to Fr. Chad Ripperger on Shawn Ryan

Hey! I've always wondered: why did the fallen angels never repent? In this video I reacted to Fr. Chad Ripperger explaining the fall of the angels on the Shawn Ryan Show. He went step by step: angels were created knowing everything about their nature, they made one choice, and their will locked in forever.

It was fascinating. But I kept asking on camera, "How do you know this, bud?" So after I stopped recording, I sorted out what's actually in the Bible and what comes from other places.

What the Bible clearly says

1. Some angels sinned and fell.

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.2 Peter 2:4 (NLT)
And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged.Jude 1:6 (NLT)

2. Satan's fall was sudden. In the interview this got credited to Revelation, but I found it's actually Jesus talking in Luke:

"Yes," he told them, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning!"Luke 10:18 (NLT)

3. The "one-third" idea comes from Revelation 12:4, where the dragon's tail "swept away one-third of the stars in the sky" (NLT). Many Christians read those stars as angels. It's a symbol-heavy book, so some people read it differently, but that's where the number comes from.

The verse that answered my question

Why no second chance for angels? This one hit me:

We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.Hebrews 2:16 (NLT)

Jesus became a human, not an angel. He died for people. The Bible never offers fallen angels a way back. That's not God being harsh with them. It's God being incredibly kind to us.

What's NOT in the Bible

The detailed parts, like the "three instants," angels getting infused knowledge, and which ranks fell, come mostly from Thomas Aquinas's theological reasoning, plus what exorcists say they've heard from demons. Fr. Ripperger said that himself in the interview. That doesn't make it wrong, but it's not Scripture. And Jesus called the devil "the father of lies" (John 8:44, NLT), so I'm careful with anything that comes from demons.

My conclusion: The Bible clearly says angels sinned, Satan fell fast, and they're being held for judgment. It doesn't give us the play-by-play. But it does give the reason there's hope for us and not for them: Jesus came to help us. We get something angels never got: a Savior who became one of us.
